Chef, Catch Modern Seafood Restaurant
An eastern North Carolina native, Chef Keith Rhodes is the owner of Catch Modern Seafood Restaurant and Catch the Food Truck, located in the coastal community of Wilmington, NC. Chef Rhodes offers a unique signature on new southern cuisine with international inspiration. Crediting his grandfather for his farm-to-table approach, Chef Rhodes has a wide network of roots in the coastal Carolina community, supporting local purveyors, fisherman and farmers.
With Wilmington known as Hollywood East, Chef Rhodes has hosted nearly all of the movie and television personalities to grace Wilmington’s stage. Voted Wilmington’s Best Chef four years in a row, Chef Rhodes also won NC Goodness Grows “Best Dish” for both fine dining and casual dining restaurants in the same year, which has never been repeated. Chef has represented the NC Department of Tourism in New York City. He was a 2011 James Beard finalist for “Best Chef of the Southeast”. He also competed on season 9 of Bravo Television series “Top Chef”, and has numerous accolades, including in Food & Wine and the New York Times.
Chef Rhodes is proud to give back to his community, traveling across the nation to visit local schools, colleges and military bases in the US and abroad. He is constantly promoting a positive NC lifestyle focusing on education pertaining to sustainable seafood policies and food advocacy. His ideology focuses on fresh, healthy, seasonal cooking and sustainable lifestyles. Chef has a passion for travel, food and wine. He currently resides in Wilmington, NC with his wife Angela and their two adult children, Kristin and Keith Jr.
