Chef, Watts Grocery, Sage & Swift Catering
A Durham native, Amy honed her skills under the tutelage of the legendary Bill Neal of Crook’s Corner and then spent three years in Paris. She opened Sage & Swift Catering in 1993. Fourteen years later, she opened Watts Grocery. Named for a little store she frequented as a child, it fulfilled her dream of owning a warm, homey restaurant that serves up “a great meal that speaks to our region and roots.” It’s gotten nothing but praise since.
