Enjoy the “culinary experience of the year,” as one attendee described the Grand TASTE Experience. Spend the evening with hundreds of guests savoring dishes created by 30+ of the best chefs in our local area. Also on hand will be local beverage makers, producing outstanding craft beer, soda, coffees and spirits, desserts, and we’ve rounded up our chefs’ favorite distributors to bring you wine from around the world to educate your palate. Of course, no soiree is complete without music, so a live “swing” band will perform as you TASTE the night away!

The TASTE Gluten-Free
Wine-Pairing Dinner

Join us for a four-course GLUTEN-FREE dinner created by one of Durham’s most talented chefs, Primal Chef BJ Peterson – A.k.a. Chef BO – is putting together a creative and flavorful gluten-free menu which will be paired with wines chosen for each course. Chef Bo comes to Primal with local and national experience. Most recently, he was executive chef for Rocky Top Hospitality Group. Prior to that he was executive chef at the Weathervane. He spent time in Las Vegas and New York with the Glazier Group. BO was born in Germany, raised in Michigan, and currently lives in Holly Springs with his wife Jessica, sons Oscar, 4, and Magnus, 15 months.

As a special treat, you’ll also enjoy a wonderful gluten-free dessert prepared by Joe Parker of JP’s Pastry, the Carolinas most renowned gluten-free pastry chef.

TASTE’s Artisan Cocktail Dinner

Join some of the area’s best craft cocktail makers (including Durham Distillery, NanaSteak, TOPO Distilley and Bedlam Vodka) and some of the area’s outstanding restaurants (including Alley Twenty Six, Heron’s at The Umstead, The Counting House Restaurant Bar/21c Museum Hotel, The Lakewood and Mandolin) for an evening of sipping and sampling and live entertainment.

TASTE’s Brews & Barbecue Bus Tour

Hosted and narrated by Daniel Bradford,
Frmr. Publisher, All About Beer Magazine 

Get on the bus with Daniel to sample some of the finest paired Barbecue and Beer in the area.  Meet the Chefs, Pit Masters and Brewers and hear their thoughts on their barbeque and beer pairings.

Starting at the legendary Tyler’s Taproom at American Tobacco with brewery partner Ponysaurus Brewing Co.  Daniel will take us on a tasting tour of Cloud’s Brewing Co., Maverick’s and their brewery partner, Durty Bull Brewing Co., and Bull City Burger and Brewery. You will have the opportunity to sample some great barbecue and outstanding beer, while meeting the talent behind each.  (Only 40 seats on the bus!)
